KDH hosts Rural Trauma Team Development Course
Physicians, nurses, EMT's and emergency department staff members from KDH recently completed a Rural Trauma Team Development Course (RTTDC) taught by the Indiana University Health Methodist Trauma Center.  KDH hosted the one-day seminar on Friday, April 26 at the new hospital.

Topics included patient evaluations for airway obstructions, breathing, circulation, disability, exposure and environment, patient transfers, pediatric trauma, and special considerations such as pregnancy, burns, and geriatrics.  Practical skills assessments were included as part of the course.

Staff members at King's Daughters' Health regularly complete updated training to provide area families the best care possible.  The course was organized with the help of KDH physicians and the KDH Education Department.  For more information about this course or other educational opportunities, contact Laurie Livorno at (812) 801-0393 or via e-mail at livornol@kdhmadison.org.
